Tours to the UAE from Kyiv — Last-Minute Deals

Tours to the UAE from KyivCome winter, the Emirates become the classic "beach plus city" break: while Kyiv is under snow, it is +23…+28 °C here with the sea at about +22 °C, and between swims you can ride up the Burj Khalifa or head into the desert by 4x4. The UAE is a federation of seven emirates, and every one has its own character, from skyscrapers and malls to quiet all-inclusive resorts below the mountains. As no flights link Ukraine with the Gulf directly, travellers from Kyiv fly out of neighbouring Moldova, Romania or Poland, most often with flydubai or Air Arabia. Ukrainian citizens travelling on a biometric passport need no visa for stays shorter than a month.

UAE packages cover your flights, a meet-and-greet at the airport with transfer, a hotel with breakfast or any other board basis, and medical insurance, while the trip to the departure city is yours to arrange. Live availability for your travel dates is in our tour search, and our managers will suggest the emirate and airport that suit you.

Planes land in Dubai or at neighbouring Sharjah, the home base of Air Arabia. From Dubai airport it is about 17 km to hotels in Sharjah, 30 km to Ajman, 100–110 km to Fujairah or Ras Al Khaimah, and around 150 km to Abu Dhabi, so the longest transfer is roughly 1.5–2 hours.

Money, Fees and Local Rules

The currency is the dirham, and 1 US dollar buys about 3.67 dirhams; dollars are the handiest cash to bring, although cards work almost everywhere. Hotels in Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and Abu Dhabi collect a tourist fee at check-in or check-out, its size depending on the number of bedrooms in your room. Many also ask for a deposit by card or in cash, returned when you leave. Plugs are the three-pin British kind. In public places keep elbows and knees covered, wear swimwear only on the beach and by the pool, avoid drinking alcohol in the street and ask before photographing local people. Eating, drinking and even chewing gum are banned on the metro, buses and taxis, and the metro has separate carriages for women and children.

Documents

  • No visa. Trips of up to 30 days need only a biometric passport.
  • Passport. Its expiry date should be at least six months away; border guards can reject a passport whose term was extended.
  • EES. Flying from Poland or Romania, you register when entering the EU; from Moldova you do not.
  • Leaving Ukraine. Exit conditions for those subject to mobilisation and for parents travelling with children should be checked before you pay for the tour.
