Thanks to a convenient flight from Kyiv and other cities of Ukraine to Rimini, we have at our disposal one of the most famous seaside resorts in Italy. Today we will tell you why this resort is so popular and where you should definitely go for both experienced seasoned tourists and pioneers who are just getting to know the region.
The old fish market

The nightlife of Rimini takes place mainly in two areas: at the end of the promenade, between the Marina Centro and the marina with bars and discos on the beach, and the streets of the historic center of the city, near the old fish market (Veccia, Pescheria), where every at night, thousands of young people gather for a drink or a meal, at a concert or just for a meeting. The charm of the old fish market lies in the fact that history and modernity are mixed here: wine cellars, bars, restaurants, terraces, candles, medieval squares and romantic streets of the historic center that make Rimini's Montmart. Here you can dine under the stars or have a drink under the white colonnade. It all takes place in an old 18th century marble-topped fish market, most of the traditions originated here and then exported to the rest of Italy: appetizers, mini portions in small saucers and more. If you're dreaming of a vacation where you can meet people and make friends, Old Fish Market is the perfect place to go all year round.
Rimini beaches
In Rimini, there are up to 250 beach places, it is almost impossible to choose. The philosophy of the beaches of Rimini is that life is in full swing day and night. It all starts at dawn and ends late at night. On the beach you can do anything: yoga, learn different types of embroidery, do all kinds of water sports, dance and much more. Interestingly, all services, showers, changing rooms, books, newspapers, games, entertainment and a kids club on the beach are absolutely free! All this is already included in the daily cost of a beach umbrella or chair. But there are also free sections of the Rimini beach near Bozković Square; Piazza San Giuliano in front of the harbour; Marebello and Miramare.
Surgeon's house
The House of the Surgeon is one of the most important historical sites in Rimini. This is a small two-story building in which various household items and furniture were found: vases, amphoras, fragments of mosaic decorations and frescoes of great artistic value. The name of the house is associated with the discovery of a set of 150 surgical instruments used at that time to treat fractures and cut wounds. This led to the idea that the owner was a military surgeon, probably from Greece.
City Museum
The Museum of the City of Rimini preserves the historical and cultural heritage of Rimini and its surroundings. It is located next to the church of Santa Maria del Suffraggio, in an 18th-century Jesuit monastery. Here you can see small pieces of stone that the Romans used as tickets to the amphitheater, or small statues representing gladiators. A rare treasure of Roman coins, splendid mosaics, amphoras, terracotta bricks, managed by the first entrepreneurs of Rimini. Recently, a new archaeological section was opened in the museum. It is dedicated to the imperial period of Rimini in the 2nd and 3rd centuries. In addition to the richest surgical and pharmaceutical equipment from the surgeon Domus, as well as the famous mosaic of old boats.
San Giuliano District
People say that the area of San Giuliano was a favorite place for Federico Fellini and Giulietta Masina in Rimini. These are quiet pedestrian streets with beautiful medieval houses, cozy cafes and beautiful painted buildings. Here you should definitely visit the Church of San Giuliano. Initially, it was a Benedictine (9th century) monastery complex built on the remains of a pagan temple. Inside the church, you can admire a magnificent painting by Paolo Veronese, the martyrdom of Saint Julien.
Fellini Roads
The famous director Federico Fellini was born in Rimini in 1920 and the city has always been associated with him. To follow the path of the great director, you must leave Felini Park, from where you can admire the view of the Grand Hotel. Here is your favorite work, which now bears your name. Here you can also order dinner according to your preferences. The next stage should be the harbor, the embankment and the pier, where the young philosophers of Vitelloni come in winter and where the biker Amarcord arrives.
Temple of Malatesta
Tours around Rimini usually start with a visit to this temple. The temple-mausoleum is the best example of Franciscan Gothic, built in the 12th century. The modified temple was designed by Leon Alberti. Many experts put the author on a par with Leonardo da Vinci. Today the temple is open to visitors. Here you can see two interesting works. The first is the "Crucifixion" by Giotto, which took place at the beginning of the 14th century. The second is a fresco by Piero della Francesca representing Sigismondo Malatesta himself. Malatesta knelt before his patron Sigismund.
