Tours to Vietnam from Chisinau — Last-Minute Deals

Tours to Vietnam from ChisinauPhu Quoc, the largest island in Vietnam, is the warmest winter sea you can reach from Chisinau on a single flight: from 28 October 2026 to 26 March 2027 a SCAT Airlines charter flies there, stopping only to refuel in Taraz, Kazakhstan. The Gulf of Thailand stays at +27…+30 °C, and most resort hotels on the island date from after 2015, so instead of dense development there is plenty of greenery and space. Ukrainian and Moldovan citizens on this flight need no visa for a holiday of up to a month.

A Vietnam package from Chisinau covers the charter, a shared transfer, accommodation and medical insurance, while you reach Chisinau airport on your own (by train or bus). Our tour search compares what different operators charge for the same dates, while our managers can recommend the best coast for your stay.

Hotels and Deposits

All-inclusive is offered by Vinpearl Resort, Vinpearl Discovery Wonderworld, Radisson Blu, Sol by Melia, Novotel, Best Western Sonasea and the Movenpick resorts, while the island's most luxurious addresses are JW Marriott Emerald Bay, Regent and InterContinental Long Beach. Many hotels ask for a deposit at check-in, usually $20–100 for the whole stay, sometimes the price of one night; some simply bill you for services as you use them instead.

When to Go

Phu Quoc's dry season lasts from October to April, exactly when the Chisinau charter operates: daytime temperatures reach +30…+33 °C and rain is rare. Between May and October the island has its season of downpours, although the sea stays just as warm.

What to Eat and Bring Home

Hotels serve a mix of European and Asian dishes, and in town it is worth ordering grilled seafood, pho, spring rolls, mango and mint salad and stir-fried bun noodles. Vietnamese coffee is drunk iced with condensed milk, topped with egg cream or with coconut milk. Popular souvenirs are Phu Quoc pepper and pepper sauce, local rum, coconut sweets, blue butterfly pea tea that turns purple with lemon, and pearls from island farms, with jewellery from $20. Fresh fruit can come home with you if you are flying back to Moldova.

Documents and Money

  • Passport. It must remain valid six months past your arrival date; an ID card is only enough for Moldova.
  • Return ticket proving you will leave the island, one of the conditions of the visa exemption.
  • Stays over 30 days or mainland trips call for an e-visa (up to 90 days).
  • Money. The currency is the dong; euros, dollars and cards are widely accepted, so just check the rate before you travel.
  • The border. Ukraine's exit rules for draft-age men and under-18s are revised from time to time; confirm them when booking.
