Tours to Belek from Rzeszów — Last-Minute Deals

Belek, between Antalya and Side, is known as Turkey's golf capital: its five-star resorts sit in a pine forest, with a long sandy beach running along the sea. A charter from the Polish city of Rzeszów reaches Antalya airport in roughly three hours, and from there the coach takes only 30–45 minutes to Belek's hotels. Rzeszów lies almost on the border, so for people in Lviv, Lutsk, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk this is one of the shortest routes to the Mediterranean.

The Route: Lviv — Rzeszów — Belek

Antalya is the main summer destination from Rzeszów airport: most flights run from late spring to autumn, with far fewer in the off-season. Belek lies east of the airport, and its transfer is one of the shortest on the coast:

Why Belek

• A sandy beach. The sand runs almost unbroken from Kadriye to Boğazkent, and hotels have their own sections with sunbeds and piers.
• Hotels in the forest. The resorts cover huge grounds between the road and the sea, shaded by pines and eucalyptus. Most are five-star, with water parks, kids' clubs and spas, and many run on an ultra all-inclusive basis.
• Golf. There are around fifteen courses around Belek, more than anywhere else in the country. In spring and autumn golfers come here from all over Europe, and some hotels have their own courses and lessons for beginners.
• Loggerhead turtles. Belek's beach is the largest nesting site for these sea turtles in the Mediterranean. From May to September the beach is closed from 8 pm to 8 am, and nests in the sand are fenced off.
• Land of Legends. A theme park in Kadriye with water slides, rides and an evening show with lights and fireworks. Tickets are also sold to guests of other hotels.

Excursions near Belek

• Aspendos. The 2nd-century Roman theatre, 20 minutes away by car, is so well preserved that concerts and an opera and ballet festival are still held there.
• Perge. The ruins of an ancient city with a colonnaded street, baths and a stadium, on the way to Antalya.
• Köprülü Canyon. Rafting on a mountain river and a Roman bridge in a national park, roughly an hour away by road.
• Antalya and Side. Antalya's walled Kaleiçi quarter and the Düden waterfalls, and Side's Temple of Apollo right by the water: each trip takes half a day.

When to Go to Belek

People swim in Belek from May through October, and the water peaks in August. Midsummer brings daytime highs of +34…+35 °C, so families with toddlers are more comfortable in June or September. Spring and autumn are golf season: the courses are green and the sun is gentle. In winter the sea is too cold for swimming, but many of Belek's hotels stay open all year and offer indoor pools.

Hotels and Prices

Belek is one of the most expensive resorts on the coast: budget hotels are few, but there are plenty of deluxe complexes that have water parks, kids' clubs, spas and à la carte restaurants. An all-inclusive week with a Rzeszów departure starts at roughly UAH 47,000 per couple. Four-star hotels in Kadriye and Boğazkent cost less, while prices rise noticeably in July, August and the school holidays. Add the cost of reaching Rzeszów and airport parking. Documents and EES

• A biometric passport. Poland admits Ukrainians only with one, and Turkey expects it to have six months left at arrival.
• EES. On your first entry into Poland, border guards scan your fingerprints and photograph your face for the EU Entry/Exit System. The flight to Antalya leaves the Schengen area, so at Rzeszów airport your passport is checked both on departure and on your return.
• Day limit. Days in Poland count towards the Schengen "90 in 180" limit, but your time in Turkey does not: Turkey counts its visa-free stay separately.
• Your own car. Driving to the airport? Take out Green Card insurance for Poland.
• Leaving the country. While martial law is in force, check before paying for the tour whether the men in your group will be allowed to travel abroad and what papers children need.
