Tours to Alanya from Chisinau — Last-Minute Deals

Tours to Alanya from ChisinauAlanya is the easternmost of the big resorts on the Antalya coast: the town spreads around a rocky peninsula crowned by a Seljuk fortress, and the octagonal Red Tower stands above the harbour. From Chisinau you get here via Antalya: about two hours of flying and another 2–2.5 hours by coach along the sea. In return, Alanya offers wide sandy beaches, some of the most affordable prices in the region and a swimming season that lasts almost until mid-November.

The package covers air tickets, a coach between the airport and your hotel, accommodation with the board you picked and insurance; you only arrange the trip to Chisinau yourself. Ukrainians do not need a visa for Turkey. The tour search checks hotel availability for specific dates, and if choosing a district is hard, ask a manager, who will tell you where it is quieter and where you are closer to town.

Flight and Transfer Times

Flights from Chisinau take roughly two hours to reach Antalya (AYT). Gazipaşa airport is closer to Alanya, but there are usually no direct flights to it from Chisinau, so almost everyone travels from Antalya along the coastal highway. Transfer time depends on the district:

Sights of Alanya

  • The fortress. Walls about 6.5 km long climb the peninsula to a height of 250 m; a cable car runs up from Cleopatra Beach, and from the top you can see the whole bay.
  • The Red Tower and Tersane shipyard. The octagonal red-brick tower was built in 1226 to guard the port, and next to it survives a Seljuk shipyard with five arched bays.
  • Damlataş Cave by Cleopatra Beach: stalactites and humid air at a constant temperature of around +22 °C, believed to be good for breathing.
  • A boat trip around the peninsula to the Pirates' and Phosphorus caves and the Lovers' Cave, on a pleasure boat or a yacht.
  • Nature outside town: restaurants on platforms above the Dim Çayı river, Dim Cave and the cool Sapadere Canyon in the mountains.

Hotels and Prices

According to our price table for departures from Chisinau, a seven-night all-inclusive stay for two in Alanya costs from about 25,500 UAH. Budget-wise, it is one of the best-value resorts on the coast: there are many three- and four-star hotels, while Belek and Antalya are more expensive on average. Note that many hotels are separated from the sea by the coastal road, with an underpass or footbridge leading to the beach, so check the description to see exactly where the beach is. You can save by booking early in winter or by catching a last-minute tour in the final week before travel; more tips are in our article how to choose a tour to Turkey.
